This LudwIg Lounge is the finissage event of the Emplotment exhibition.
This international group exhibition focuses on the adaptation of sources of trauma by means of visual art and a novel analysis of their performative representation. The curators examine how artists’ participation in these processes has changed over the period of the last twenty to thirty years, and what new approaches and perspectives have emerged and come to the fore.

4 pm –5 pm | ANNEX Live – Janette PARRIS: Laughing Not Crying
Janette Parris (born 1962, London) is an artist who investigates the contemporary urban experience, using narrative, humour and popular formats, including soap opera, stand-up comedy, musical theatre, cartoons, comics and animation. Parris has exhibited widely in the UK and internationally for 25years including TATE, The New Art Gallery Walsall, ICA, Kunsthaus Zürich, Hayward Gallery Touring, Art on the Underground, Royal Academy of Arts. Parris will talk about the process of her projects while reflecting through the perspective of the Artist on the trauma sources embraced by the exhibition.

5 pm – 6 pm | Guided tour in Hungarian by Ildikó ENYEDI movie director
Ildikó Enyedi is a Hungarian film director and screenwriter. Her 2017 film On Body and Soul won the top prize at the 67th Berlin International Film Festival and went on to be nominated for a Foreign Language Academy Award. She has directed eight feature films since 1989.
