KáOsz, 2002
A dance performance by Compagnie Pál Frenák the presence of Compagnie Pál Frenák has become tradition at the Ludwig Museum. This year’s program focuses on unusual ways of using space.
This is the first time that we screen the Compagnie’s renowned piece of 2002. The film footage is of the now legendary performance held at Budapest’s Trafó, where the viewers sat at café tables around a fighting ring, drinking wine. The boundary disappeared between stage and auditorium, performer and audience, resulting in a highly provocative and successful performance.
A discussion with Pál Frenák and aesthete András Rényi is to follow.
Improvised dance for live music, by two members of Compagnie Pál Frenák.
