Contemporary and sacred? What has to do contemporary art with sacred? Is it still possible to create contemporary artworks with transcendent content? Is there a demand or receptivity from the part of the church? Is all this not only a dreamy vision from times gone by?
The Asztali Beszélgetések Kulturális Alapítvány and the Ludwig Museum launches a new series of discussions in in January 2014. Outstanding personages of Hungarian contemporary art and leaders of historical religious churches - theologians, priests, vicars, bishops - will start a dialog to build a bridge between modern church and contemporary art.
