It is the 10th anniversary of the opening of the Ludwig Museum.
Amadinda Percussion Group was formed in 1984 by musicians were attending Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music at the time. The group set out to acomplish two major goals in the very beginning. On the one hand, they wanted to present the public with classic percussion pieces never performed in Hungary so far, and on the other hand, they intended to introduce the foreign and Hungarian audience alike to the works of Hungarian composers. The group also seeks to inspire local and foreign composers to write novel musical pieces. Besides all these, Amadinda started to pursue three new and specially important objectives in the last couple of years: researching traditional percussion cultures, composing, and making percussion transcriptions of pieces from earlier periods of the history of music.
