Action // Performance // Event
Starting at 4 p.m.
Two artists Tibor Gyenis and Endre Koronczi perform an action that evokes Tolvaly' action in 1976 titled What are "Gilbert&George" doing when they are not performing as 'live statues'?. The performance is followed by a discussion between András Lengyel (a close friend of Tolvaly since university years) and Yvette Medvedt.
It is from the year 1976 onward that actions appear in Tolvaly's life-work, performed by the artisti himself or created wit the involvment of the public. For Tolvaly action as a medium on the one hand, an interconnection between art and everyday life, on the other hand, facilitated more democratic ways of creation and perception .
