AMASS – Acting on the Margins: Arts as Social Sculpture project, funded by the EU HORIZON 2020 (H2020-SC6-TRANSFORMATIONS-2019) Framework Program, seeks the opportunities for effective communication and the reinforcement of marginalized groups through art in cooperation with seven countries. The Ludwig Museum – Museum of Contemporary Art, as one of the winners of the tender for the implementation of museum projects announced by the head of the Hungarian program, Corvinus University of Budapest, has been given the opportunity to carry out a museum educational research between September 2020 and March 2022.
As part of the program, we develop museum educational sessions for disadvantaged students, focusing on contemporary artworks presenting current social issues. We organize professional discussions and programs, launch a 30-hour accredited training for teachers on the practice of the mediation of contemporary art, and develop teaching aids to help the use of contemporary art in school education.
