Exhibitions are opening at external venues in connection with the Ludwig Museum’s international exhibition Extended Present – Transient Realities
In conjunction with the Ludwig Museum’s international exhibition Extended Present – Transient Realities, the concept of the exhibition will be presented in three external venues in parallel, embedded in the urban fabric of Budapest.
Firstly, in cooperation with KÉK – Kortárs Építészeti Központ (Contemporary Architecture Centre), the installation of Slovak artist Oto HUDEC will be shown on Bartók Béla út from 22 July 2022, and then, in partnership with Műhely / The Hall of ONYX, the installation of the EJTECH group will create a unique sound space on Vörösmarty tér from 3 August 2022 (opening performance). Both events will be on view for just two to three weeks with unique opening hours, please check the website for details!
Last but not least, the main closing event of the exhibition at the Ludwig Museum, Norwegian artist Jeannette CHRISTENSEN’s gel installation will open at the end of the summer, transforming before our eyes for a month in an unconventional basement space, extending the exhibition in time until the end of September (Extended Present – Transient Realities at the Ludwig Museum closes on 4 September). More details to come soon.
All three installations, which involve external sites, are linked to the experiment of experiencing the present through artistic practices, highlighting issues that allow aspects of permanent transience to unfold primarily on the site.
