In 2017 it is the Ludwig Museum - Museum of Contemporary Art who houses the exhibition related to Esterházy Art Award, organised 5th time.
The Esterházy Private Foundation established Esterházy Art Award in 2009. By awarding this prize, the Foundation intends to patronize talented Hungarian artists. An independent jury awards the prize to two, or a maximum of three artists, receiving each a 5.000 euro award. in 2009 it was artist pair Lőrinc Borsos, also Dániel Horváth, and Ákos Siegmund, in 2011 László Attila Karácsonyi, András Király, Ábel Szabó, in 2013 József Csató, Patríczia Kaliczka, Olívia Kovács, and in 2015 Tamás Kaszás, Mira Dalma Makai and Zsolt Tibor who received the Esterházy Art Award.
Contest winners were announced on the 14th of December 2017 in the frame of an award ceremony and exhibition opening.
In 2017 it is Áron Ezer, Zsófia Keresztes and Imre Nagy young Hungarian artists who receive the Esterházy Art Award.
Their works together with artworks by the other cotestants selected for the semi-final from among 266 applicants are on display at Ludwig Museum.
The exhibition will be opend between 15 December 2017 and 7 January 2018, on the 2nd floor of Ludwig Museum.
