Flaka Haliti grew up in Kosovo and began her studies at the Academy of Arts in Pristina. She then moved as a "Meisterschülerin" to the Städelschule in Frankfurt. She represented Kosovo at the 56th Venice Biennale, andf was awarded the Henkel Price in the same year. She lives and works in Munich.
