Performance by Robert van der Horst

Robbert van der Horst (1963) is an “agricultural” performance and installation artist. His favourite material is straw and haystacks, in which he creates hidden living spaces. At present, in the Netherlands, he and a group of prisoners are erecting a large straw building for theatre performances, conferences and performances. The construction of the building is itself an art event, and will take a year to complete. In Budapest, he will also produce a location-specific work in which Hungarian artists will also play a significant part.
