The Ludwig Museum's new initiative, the Art & Wine Lovers Club, is lauched with its first exclusive program, Valentine's Day wine and ham titbits accompanied by a guided tour, in The Freedom of Sound. John Cage behind the Iron Curtain exhibition.
Our aim is to introduce the internationally more and more successful Hungarian wine culture and the novelties and aspiring talents of the recent gastro resolution - while the programs are clearly inspired by our exhibitions or pieces of the museum's collection.
About John Cage, one of the greatest figures of avantgarde music, few people know that, apart from his performances, lectures, writings and artworks, ha was an amateur mushroom expert, fond of various mushroom species.
The exclusive guided tour is held by the exhibition's curator, Katalin Székely, while the Vylyan Vineyards and Winery (www.vylyan.hu), SonkaArcok (HamFaces) (www.sonkaarcok.hu) and Tamás Bereznay star chef treat the guests to gastronomic specialities.
Amongst the participants, we draw one bottle of the Vylyan's prize winning wine, GOMBÁS and a catalogue of the museum's collection.
