In the large museums category, the Ludwig Museum won the Museum of the Year 2020 award. This is the first time that a museum with a purely contemporary art profile has received the award founded by the Pulszky Society – Hungarian Museum Association.
At the 18th National Museum Pedagogical Year Opening, we won the Family Friendly Museum certificate supported by the EMMI with a grant of HUF 1 million. In justifying the award, the professional board highlighted family benefits, professional communication for families, and an ideal environment for young children as well. The museum has the right to use the logo of the Family-Friendly Museum for three years.
We also received the title of Community Museum this year. The award was given to museums that operate on the basis of “community participation” or have already laid the foundations for “socialization”, involving the local population, NGOs and other partners in their work.
