In support of the national football team of Ukraine within the UEFA EURO 2016 qualifying matches, the fans put a football uniform in the colors of the national Ukrainian team on the monument to Lenin. Before, it had been embellished with an embroidered shirt. The 20-meter monument also had been listed in the register of memorials of local significance until the fall of 2015. It was dismantled in 2016.
