Activators. Locally active architecture
Hungarian Pavilion at the 15th International Architecture Exhibition, La Biennale di Venezia
Venezia, Giardini
26 May – 27 November 2016
At this year’s Venice Architecture Biennale, bearing the title Reporting from the Front, the Hungarian pavilion features a project that reflects the changing roles assumed by contemporary art. The exhibition of Arkt architecture studio demonstrates how it was possible to create a value-added investment and a living social space based solely on local collaboration and cooperation, without a client or money—by recycling a run-down building in the Gárdonyi Garden in Eger.
